LG CNS Completes 30 MW Jakarta AI Data Center, Fully Leased
LG CNS finished its first overseas AI data center, 30 MW in Jakarta, with every kilowatt leased before completion. A next phase could lift power intake to 400 MW, but the owner's figure differs.

The Jakarta facility's first phase is 30 MW, leased in full; the 300 kW per rack figure is LG CNS's own claim.

LG CNS has completed a 30 MW hyperscale AI data center in Jakarta, Indonesia, and said on Nov. 2, 2026 that it had leased the facility's full capacity before construction ended, according to The Korea Times and Financial News.
The client is KMG, a joint venture of Indonesia's Sinar Mas Group and Korea Investment Real Asset Management. LG CNS says it is the first time a Korean company has built an AI data center abroad for a local customer. A completion ceremony was held in Jakarta on Nov. 1, according to the Korea JoongAng Daily.
For power planners, the number to hold onto is density, not the 30 MW. LG CNS says the power system supports at least 300 kW per rack, about 60 times what it describes as a typical data center rack. Racks at that density are usually liquid-cooled, while this hall opens on air cooling, so the liquid phases set how much of that headroom gets used.
Cooling, power and who supplied what
The first phase uses air cooling. Liquid cooling, which pulls heat directly off GPU servers, is to be added in later phases, according to Financial News. The power system has redundant feeds and backup supply so the hall keeps running if the main supply is cut.
The build used what LG CNS calls an integrated "One LG" approach: LG CNS handled design, build and operation, LG Electronics supplied the air-conditioning systems, and LG Energy Solution supplied the batteries.
TheElec reported that the first phase has 11 above-ground floors, 46,281 square meters of floor area and a power intake capacity of 30 MW, with room for more than 100,000 servers. It also reported that LG CNS won a 100 billion won infrastructure construction contract in August 2025, after a 2024 consulting and design contract with KMG.
Why the full lease matters
Vice president Yoo Ki-woong told analysts on the Oct. 30 third-quarter earnings call, as TheElec reported, that tenants for the whole facility were secured before completion, giving a stable revenue base from the first day of operation. The CFO, Song Kwang-ryun, was more guarded about GPU-as-a-service, saying LG CNS will proceed cautiously and focus on projects with established commercial viability. TheElec noted that the board approved 381.4 billion won on Sept. 11 for GPUs and infrastructure equipment, including NVIDIA's Vera Rubin, with delivery scheduled for June 30, 2027.
The lease is the lower-risk part of the business: the building is let, while GPU services carry the upfront hardware cost and a fast replacement cycle.
What is not confirmed yet
The expansion figures do not match. LG CNS, as relayed by The Korea Times and Financial News, says the next phase, now in design, would bring total incoming power capacity to 400 MW. TheElec instead reported that KMG plans to expand total power intake capacity to 220 MW. The sources do not say whether the two figures use the same basis or the same timeline, and no construction schedule or grid-connection date for the larger phase has been published.

The completed hall is 30 MW; the 220 MW and 400 MW expansion figures come from different sources and do not match.

The sources also do not name the tenants or give the lease terms. LG CNS said it plans to pursue AI data center projects in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Japan; TheElec added that it is exploring North America and Europe with prefabricated modular data centers.
