Germany's Muehlbauer Group will act as an ecosystem provider of cell assembly equipment. QuantumScape said it is demonstrating scalable production on its Eagle Line pilot facility in San Jose, California, and that Muehlbauer evaluated those processes and proposed design changes for mass production. Engineering on higher-throughput processes and equipment is underway. CEO Siva Sivaram said the company is excited to welcome Muehlbauer to its ecosystem, and Muehlbauer CEO Josef Markus Mühlbauer said the Eagle Line showed the technology is ready to scale.
