YMTC has overtaken Samsung Electronics as the largest NAND flash supplier in China, taking 38.5% of the market in the second quarter of 2026, according to KED Global, which cites Omdia data. EDAILY, which also cites Omdia, puts the figures at 38.7% for YMTC and 33.4% for Samsung, so the exact decimals differ between outlets while the ranking does not.

YMTC global share rose from 8% to 14.2% while it led Samsung 38.7% to 33.4% in China in Q2 2026.

The shift also shows up in the global numbers. EDAILY reports that YMTC's worldwide NAND share rose from 8% in 2024 to 10.7% in 2025, 14.0% in the first quarter of 2026 and 14.2% in the second quarter. Samsung's global share fell to 28.1% in the second quarter from more than 30% in 2024 and 2025, although EDAILY's text also describes it as sliding into the 20% range, so that figure should be read with care.
